Big news: one of our high school campers from New York is up for a major award!

ValValerie Weisler is a finalist for the Jefferson Awards, which is the Nobel Prize for Public Service’s Lead 360 Challenge. As the founder and CEO of her international organization named “The Validation Project,” Valerie is committed to uniting the teenage generation to use their unique talents to change the world for the better. Through “online leadership training, educational events, and international campaigns,” The Validation Project aims to share resources to those in need and help teens build their confidence needed to make a difference.

If Val wins, she is sent to Washington D.C in June to present The Validation Project to US senators, share her story with the country, and even present the project to President Obama.

Josh Pierce, Camp Inc. Director, and Dan Baer, Camp Inc. Associate Director, met with Val and her mother and Josh noted “she is truly one of the most accomplished and impressive teens I have ever met.”
