Jordyn & DaniellThe bus has arrived! After almost a full day of travel and months of anticipation, the moment has finally come. The staff just welcomed these 24 outstanding campers off the bus and officially started the second chapter of this camp’s history with the arrival of our campers. We couldn’t be more proud of the staff team that we have assembled to work with your children. Just last night, we closed our staff week by each of our staff sharing a memento they brought from home and hung our Mezuzah on the door to our staff lounge, signifying the official opening of our Jewish home.

Arrival 2015 - session 1_lrThe campers arrived to counselors holding welcome signs with their names on it, music, and beautiful mountain weather. For the remainder of the afternoon, our campers will have a chance to get to know their new bunkmates, meet their amazing counselors, and explore the beautiful surroundings of Camp Inc. in Colorado. Tonight we will kick off the summer with opening ceremonies, an evening program modeled after the game “Life”, and bring the first day to a close with our campers in their bunks!

new friends CI binders_lrTomorrow gets our entrepreneurship program started. Our campers will have an opportunity to meet with guest entrepreneurs Teri and Dennis Sklar. Teri started an at risk program at a local High School, Splash (a spin art store), sold watches and tie dye clothes (retail and wholesale), and presently has an Internet business Denteri, LLC. Dennis has over 40 years of general Dentistry Practice, including as team Dentist for the Chicago White Sox, Queen of England, Royal Family, and other British Dignitaries. Tomorrow afternoon, our campers will unwind as they prepare for Shabbat by climbing our rock wall, playing volleyball, and learning 9-Square-in-the-Air.

First night making friends_lrWe hope to return your Camp Inc. camper back home a better version of themselves through their new friends, entrepreneurship experiences, and Jewish values.
