Camp Inc. is proud to announce the latest addition to our prestigious lineup of summer camp partners and presenters: Marshall Levin!
As the CEO of the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science since 2008, Levin aids and manages major fundraising support for the Institute’s scientific research programs.
“The American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science (ACWIS), founded in 1944, develops philanthropic support for the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel, one of the world’s premier scientific research institutions. The Weizmann Institute is a center of multidisciplinary scientific research and graduate study, addressing crucial problems in medicine and health, technology, energy, agriculture, and the environment,” states the ACWIS website.
Levin holds a Master of Social Service from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research, and has had a broad and successful career within Jewish community organizations such as the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the UJA-Federation of New York, Lecturer at the Haifa University School of Social Work, among many others.
Levin will be coming to Camp Inc. to talk to the campers about Philanthropy, Fundraising, and Giving and helping them start their own foundation at the overnight Jewish summer camp.
Levin said, “We are very excited to be involved on the ground floor of Camp Inc.’s innovative model and to explore together how we can marry venture philanthropy and digital social action in a Jewish overnight summer camp setting.”
